Interior design

Nicola Parkin Design creates individual and inspiring interiors.  We do not pigeon hole our style and are extremely mindful of our clients’ wishes and aspirations.

Interior architecture

Nicola Parkin Design has a team of experts that can produce meticulously detailed designs and drawings to go alongside any interior project. Projects from listed buildings to new builds and commercial spaces are all handled with the same care and precision.

Our in house team prepare specifications and full drawing packages for the interior architecture of a property.  This enables us to have a fully integrated solution to your project, combining the interior design with the details of interior architecture. Architectural layouts are reviewed, with elevations and specific interior details prepared, alongside specifications for all fixtures and fittings.

Bespoke joinery and furniture

We produce detailed, high quality bespoke joinery and furniture concept drawings to your exact requirements. We work alongside trusted craftsmen and manufacturers who have an important part to play within the project making it a creative collaboration.

This process means anything is possible in your interior, with bespoke items that fit perfectly within the space and endless options for the finish and detailing.

FF&E and procurement

FF&E stands for Furniture, Fitting & Equipment. Our design team create beautiful schemes of soft furnishings, furniture, lighting and accessories for each project.

These are produced with our client’s specific lifestyle requirements in mind to have a final result of a flowing and cohesive design throughout the property.  Alongside this the team are experts at sourcing and specifying the right fabrics and finishes to suit the clients’ needs and the interior space.

We can source anything that is required from antiques and bespoke soft furnishings to specialist finishes and fittings; the world is your oyster.

Product specifications for contractors

Once you have approved the final drawings, we can prepare detailed specifications for the works to be undertaken by craftsmen and contractors (carpenters, plumbers, decorators etc.).

These documents are used to ensure that your contractors are clear on what finishes, sanitary ware or ironmongery are required for the project and to ensure that mistakes on site are minimal.

Project management

Nicola Parkin Design will manage the interior side of the project from the detailed drawing package for the contractors to liaising and organising any specialist manufacturers and contractors on site.

Depending on the needs of the project at hand this can range from weekly on-site meetings with the building team and architect, to handling all the site visits for curtain manufacturers, joinery makers, lighting specialists, decorators, carpet installers and more.

Nicola personally oversees all projects and liaises with all parties involved to make sure that the integrity of the interior design is upheld and that any on site issues can be resolved quickly and efficiently.
